Vikram starring Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead has become the first Tamil film ever to gross Rs. 30 Cr+ at the Kerala box-office. In just 10 days of theatrical run, the movie which collected Rs. 31.45 Cr. till June 12, 2022 has yielded a share of Rs. 13. 5 Cr.+
Vikram directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is an action thriller that revolves around how a commander of the black-ops squad (Fahadh), investigating a triple murder finds out that the masked men responsible are vigilantes, and are headed by a disgraced black-ops commander (Kamal) to bring down a drug kingpin (Vijay Sethupathi) and his boss (Suriya).
The film is a production venture of Kamal Haasan's RKFI and was distributed in Kerala by Shibu Thameens. Vikram is a spin-off of a 1986 Kamal Haasan movie of the same name and takes place after the incidents of Kaithi (2019), also directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
