Hombale Films, producers of KGF: Chapter 2 have officially announced that the Yash starrer, which released in theaters worldwide on April 14, 2022 in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam has collected a whopping Rs. 134. 5 Cr. at the day 1 box-office. This includes a humongous Rs. 53. 95 Cr. nett from the Hindi version alone (full report here), which is more than the lifetime business of KGF: Chapter 1 in the language.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF: Chapter 2 has opened to mostly positive reviews and its box-office performance seems to be going even better across India; Additional shows are being added in regions like Tamil Nadu, Kerala for the holiday weekend.
