Kasethan Kadavulada, a 1972 comedy starring the late Muthuraman, Thenga Srinivasan and Manorama is a classic hit enjoyed even today by the Tamil cine audience. The movie is all set to get a modern-day version and R Kannan has officially announced that he will be directing and producing the remake.

Actor Shiva and Yogi Babu will be stepping into the shoes of the male leads while Manorama's character will be reprised by Urvashi. The remake will go on floors on July 15, 2021 and will be co-produced by banners Masala Pix and MKRP Productions.
