Premam is a 2015 Malayalam movie starring Nivin Pauly, Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastin which has since become a cult, owing to the wide reception it received. The South cine audience were especially in love with the 'Malar teacher' role played by then new face Sai Pallavi.

The movie's plotline involved Nivin Pauly falling in love with Sai Pallavi, a guest lecturer in his college. However an accident causes Malar to loose her memory of any relationship with Nivin's character and she ends up marrying someone else. The movie ends with Nivin finding love of his own and Malar and her husband attending his wedding.

Recently a fan questioned director Alphonse Puthiran about the same and was wondering if Malar faked her 'memory loss' or did she regain it and not tell Nivin Pauly. To this the director said that she did regain her post her wedding to Arivazhagan but seeing that the hero was now happy in a new relationship, she decided against telling him.

Aplohonse Puthiren also added that Nivin realizes the 'memory regain' though.
