Joining the long list of actors from the Tamil film industry with political ambitions is actor R. Prathieban who in a recent interview has revealed his interest in entering politics. Revealing his intentions of foraying into politics, Parthiban has been quoted to say that he would love to title his party after his National award winning 1989 film Pudhea Paadhai.

"There is no need to be apprehensive about film stars being good rulers", Parthiban has said adding that many youngsters, like him should not hold back from considering politics as a serious career option.
