"Ajith is not an issue right now" - SPB Charan lashes out at media!

A visibly disgruntled SPB Charan, son of late singer SP Balasubrahmanyam was caught on camera lashing out at the media for asking him about actor Ajith not attending SPB's funeral. To the unversed, Charan and Ajith attended the same school while growing up in Telengana and apparently they were so close that Ajith would wear Charan's clothes to the ad work he pursued at that time, because he considered them to be lucky.

SP Balasubrahmanyam even revealed later in stage that it was him who introduced the 'Thala' actor to the team of his Telugu debut film Prema Pusthakam in 1993. Naturally the actor's no-show from the last rites of SP Balasubrahmanyam, who passes away after weeks of hospitalization recently fuelled the rumour mongering in the Tamil cine industry.

Charan on his part was seen as stating, "It is not necessary that he should come here (in person) to grieve (the loss of SPB). Ajith is a friend to me; He is a good friend of my father too. But what difference does it make if he comes or doesn't come? What does it matter where he pays his respects from? That is not an issue..Should that be an issue for us right now?"

When the media further questioned Charan if Ajith had atleast phoned him, Charan retorted, "What difference does it make if Ajith called or didn't call? When you call it a rumour, why are you keen on spreading it? It is not necessary to make Ajith grieving at home or Ajith calling or not calling me into an issue. We don't have our father now. To the world, SPB is no more. We all need time to recover from the loss. This (Ajith) is not an issue right now"
