Think Music India, a famous musical label in the South has launched a separate division called Think Indie with the aim of promoting independent artists in the music world. Swaroop Reddy of Think Music commented on the launch by stating,

"This is something we've done in the past as well when we had the privilege of launching our very own Hiphop Tamizha in 2012. With Think Indie, we hope to bring to you many more of such talented musicians." 

Santhosh Kumar of the label further added, "Traditionally the independent music space was for musicians from non-film background to showcase their talent. But of late we see this trend changing and so through Think Indie we want to revive the independent music space and continue our efforts to unearth new talents." 

Think Indie has been on the hunt for new talents for the past 1 year and anyone with non-film background (shouldn't have been credited in any film) is eligible for auditioning with the label.
