Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam who has been undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at a hospital in Chennai has been stable for the past four days, updates SPB Charan. In a new video released by Charan, the singer says that he expects "good news" on his father's health by Monday next week i.e. September 7, 2020. A video of him explaining the situation has left a lot of fans and well-wishers relieved on the update.

74-year old SPB admitted himself to MGM healthcare in early August, 2020 after he was diagnosed with mild Coronavirus. However the famous singer's health took a dip by mid-August and he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with ventilator and extracorporeal membraneoxygenation support.
