Thalapathy 65, actor Vijay's next after Master was long known to be produced by Sun Pictures and directed by A.R. Murugadoss. However in-between there were talks of Murugadoss not being confirmed for the project but now seems like the trio has made their team-up official. 

Reportedly, a formal agreement has been locked for Thalapathy 65 and it will be made on a first copy basis. Vijay's remuneration is said to be worth Rs 70 Cr. where as AR Murugadoss' share will be Rs 10 Cr. for this project said to be budgeted at Rs 130 Cr.

Thalapathy 65 will be AR Murugadoss' fourth collaboration with Vijay after Thupakki (2012), Kaththi (2014) and Sarkar (2018).
