Hindi film music composer Wajid Khan of the famous musical duo Sajid-Wajid died at a Mumbai hospital in the wee hours of Monday because of complications from kidney infection. Wajid Khan's sudden demise left the Bollywood film industry in a state of shock as he was recovering from COVID-19 in quarantine and was only 42 at the time of death.
Wajid Khan, a kidney transplant receiver was admitted to Mumbai's Surana Hospital in Chembur a few days ago following complications related to the kidney infection after he contracted the Coronavirus. He was on ventilator for the last four days and eventually passed away due to a cardiac arrest.
The mortal remains of the music composer were laid to rest at Mumbai around 1 PM today.
