Harish Kalyan, Vivek starrer Dharala Prabhu which is the Tamil adaptation of the National award winning Hindi movie Vicky Donor released on March 13, 2020 and was running successfully till the Tamil Nadu government ordered the statewide shut-down of movie theaters due to the corona pandemic.

Owing to this, the movie's team has decided to re-release the movie once the shut-down is lifted post March 30, 2020 and it is the first Tamil film to join the Bollywood likes of Angrezi Medium (Irfan Khan) and Baaghi 3 (Tiger Shroff) to come at this decision.
