We had reported earlier of Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak getting tax-free status in three Congress-governed states of Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgargh and Rajasthan. Now, reiterating the divide over BJP and Congress in the JNU controversy, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has made Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior tax-free.
Thank you Shri Yogi Adityanathji for making #TanhajiTheUnsungWarrior Tax-Free in Uttar Pradesh. I would also be delighted Sir if you watched our film 🙏@myogiadityanath #TanhajiUnitesIndia

Earlier, Ajay Devgn who has in the past openly shown his support for the BJP attached a slogan to his film 'Tanhaji Unites India' which was in response to Deepika's JNU visit and her solidarity with the students there, who have been dubbed by the BJP as 'Tukde Tukde' gang [people who intent to divide India into pieces]. Now, the actor has thanked the UP government via his twitter page.
