Darbar is gearing up for worldwide release on January 9, 2020. While the film promotions are happening in full swing, one of the song from the film titled 'Kannula Thimiru' has leaked online. The track has been sung by three transwomen, Chandramukhi, Rachana Mudraboina, and Priya Murthi from Spicy Girls, a Hyderabad-based music band. The song which was performed during the audio launch, however did not feature in the album due to copyright issues. 

Anirudh collaborated with senior music composer Deva for the song which has been mixed with Annamalai BGM in his own tunes. Lahari music which owns the rights for the song has raised objections over releasing the song and the dispute is yet to settle. However the song leaked online on Youtube and is being shared extensively on social media. After news of leak surfaced, the song has been removed from Youtube by Lyca Productions. 

Those who have listened to the song are going gaga over it and there's been a huge demand to release the song officially. With the song gaining popularity among fans, this seems to be the right time for Lyca Productions and Lahari Music label to resolve the issue amicably and release the track officially. With just a week left for the film's release, the song might turn out to be a good promotion tool for the makers if all goes well.
