If one may recall, we has reported in March this year about the title clash, the makers of Sivakarthikeyan's Hero and Vijay Deverakonda's Telugu film were facing. The event has now taken a turn and apparently the Tamil Nadu Film Producers' Council has admitted to a 'clerical error' on their end to be the cause for the same and have ruled in favour of Vijay Deverakonda's film makers, who had the title registered in Tamil before KJR Studios.
This has inturn lead to Tribal Arts, original owners of the title sending a legal notice to KJR Studios advising against the use of Hero for their title. Since the Telugu Hero directed by Tribal Arts co-owner Anand Annamalai plans to release in Tamil as well, it is to be seen if the Sivakarthikeyan movie will let go or fight for its current title at court.
