The Chennai box office witnessed a dull run over the past one week due to none of the films scoring bigger. The last week releases Siddarth-GV Prakash starrer Sivappu Manjal Pachai and Arya’s Magamuni spanned a very average collection followed by Comali that had a decent run. It is noteworthy that the much awaited Onam releases from Malayalam industry that were released on September 5 (Mohanlal’s Ittymaani Made in China, Prithviraj’s Brother’s Day and Nivin Pauly-Nayanthara starrer Love Action Drama) too failed to register a decent mark. With Suriya’s Kaappaan hitting screens this Friday (September 20), it’s so important for both Suriya and Chennai Box Office to bounce back and score bigger.
