We knew that legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam is crooning for 'a melodic yet peppy' opening number in Rajinikanth's upcoming film Darbar. We also knew that Rajini plays a IPS police official in Mumbai background in the film. In a latest interaction, SPB has revealed that the song he is singing opens in a situation where Rajinikanth is being honoured for his achievements in the police department. 

SPB further said that the song will be to the tune of the honest police officer aka Rajinikanth answering, "Why keep a special event for praising me. I only did my job. Once the uniform comes off, I am ordinary person like everyone else.."

Darbar is currently being shot at Mumbai and the team plans to wrap shooting by August, 2019. The movie is touted to be an action entertainer and is directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Lyca Productions.
