Kedarnath which was originally supposed to be Sara Ali Khan's debut project with Sushanth Singh Rajput and director Abhishek Kapoor kept getting delayed owing to issues with producer Prerna Arora and then some. Later, November 30, 2018 was announced as the film’s release date though now word is that the movie will be hitting theater screens only in March, 2019. 

This means that Sara will now make her debut with Simmba opposite Ranveer Singh in December, 2018 and Sushanth will be next seen in Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiriya which is releasing in February, 2019. 

Touted to be a love story, Kedarnath is produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP movies is association with Abhishek Kapoor's The Guy in the sky productions. The movie will see Sushanth play a tourist escort and will have the 2013 North Indian floods as one of its elements.
