Petta, actor Rajinikanth's next with director Karthik Subbaraj is currently being filmed at the state of Uttar Pradesh and following their shoot at Lucknow, the team has now moved to Varanasi, the religious capital of our country. As reported earlier, the team will be shooting a flashback portion in this place, which is home to the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple and 96 duo Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha too will be a part of it.
Both the actors have left from Chennai for a month long shoot schedule and talking about the same, Trisha has been quoted by a media portal as saying, "For years, I've been asked when I will work with Rajinikanth. Honestly, this question has bothered me. It's time to finally shut all those people up as I join the sets of Petta from Monday (October 1) for a month-long schedule. I feel my career has come full circle,"
Petta is Rajinikanth's 165th film and has an ensemble cast of Bobby Simha, Nawazuddin Siddique, Megha Akash, Simran, Guru Somasundaram, Sanath Reddy and Munish Kanth among others. The movie is produced by Sun Pictures and has Anirudh Ravichander for music.
