The makers of 96 the movie have finally locked a release date for the film. The film which was initially slated to release in September will now hit the screens on October 4, 2018. 

Reports also suggest that 96 The film which is directed by cinematographer turned director Prem Kumar is all set to be remade in Telugu and that Dil Raju of Sri Venkateshwara Cine Creations has acquired the remake rights of the movie. However, an official announcement is yet to be made on the same. 

Touted to be about two long-lost lovers trying to find closure for their break-up during a school reunion, 96 stars Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in the lead and will be releasing in the place of Vijay Sethupathi's other film Seethakaathi, which has now been postponed.
