The makers of Neeya 2 have released the character poster of Varalakhsmi Sarathkumar as a 'Naagini' (snake woman). The film starring Jai, Catherine Tresa, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Raai Laxmi is directed by L. Suresh of Eththan  fame. 

The movie is a sequel to  Kamal Haasan-Sripriya starrer  Neeya (1979). Neeya 2 will be a romantic thriller based on shape shifting snakes.  Produced by Jumbo Cinemas A Sridhar, Neeya 2 has Shabir scoring the music with Rajavel Mohan handling the camera.
