In what can be termed a high-voltage political drama over the last 18 hours, the Madras High Court has finally given the verdict in favour of DMK and orders the Tamil Nadu government to allot place for Kalaignar Karunanidhi's burial at the Marina beach next to his mentor Anna.

Earlier, after the demise of Kalaignar yesterday evening, the Tamil Nadu government denied to allot burial space at the Marina beach. Instead, they offered a 2 acre memorial land near Gandhi Mandapam, Guindy. Soon after, the DMK moved court and contested with various legal and moral points, which led to this judgement. This judgement proves that Kalaignar is an undying fighter and mere death can't stop him.
