Director Pa. Ranjith who has directed films like Madras, Kaala and Kabali is all set to make his directorial debut in Bollywood with a period film. According to reports, Pa. Ranjith will be directing a film for Namah Pictures, which had produced Majid Majidi's "Beyond The Clouds".

Producer duo Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishor Arora of Namah Pictures will collaborate with Ranjith for a period drama, based on a true story. The film will go on floors next year. A spokesperson from Namah Pictures said in a statement to IANS: "We at Namah Pictures are quite excited to collaborate with Pa.Ranjith for a film. Really looking forward to it."

The director is yet to announce his next film after Kaala. His production venture Pariyerum Perumal is expected to hit the screens this year.
