The first schedule of Superstar Rajinkanth's upcoming film directed by Karthik Subbaraj has been wrapped. Rajinikanth is back in Chennai after wrapping a month long schedule of the film in Darjeeling. After a week's break, the team will resume the second schedule of the film in mid-July. The shooting for the second schedule will take place in Dehradun. Vijay Sethupathi who reportedly plays the antagonist will be joining the team in the second schedule to shoot for his portions.

As reported by us earlier, Rajinikanth plays the role of a college professor in the movie. Bobby Simha, Sanath, and Megha Akash also shot for their portions in the first schedule. After wrapping the Dehradun schedule, the team will be shooting some portions of the film in Madurai. Sun Pictures is bankrolling the project. Actor Simran is expected to play the lead opposite Rajinikanth. Anirudh is scoring the music and cinematographer Tirru is handling the camera.
