Shankar's sci-fi film '2.0’ is one of the most-awaited movies. The release of this mega-budgeted film, starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles has been delayed due to extensive VFX work involved in the film. The makers, after multiple postponements of the film's release are yet to confirm a final release date. 

While Rajinikanth’s fans have been eagerly waiting to watch the highly anticipated magnum opus 2.0, here's some update on the music front. AR Rahman has recently recorded a song with Bollywood music composer Kailash Kher for the Hindi version of 2.0. Kailash Kher shared the news on his Instagram and has also revealed it is a song about birds. 

The movie is a sequel to the 2010 Tamil film 'Enthiran', and features Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti. The film also stars Bollywood's Khiladi Akshay Kumar but in a negative role. Akshay plays a scientist who turns into a bird-man after an experiment goes awry. Amy Jackson plays the female lead.
