The killing of innocent people who protested demanding the closure of the Sterlite Copper Plant has angered the entire people of the state of TamilNadu. May 22 which marks the 100th day of the ongoing Sterlite Protest has turned into a black day in the history of Tamil Nadu. Atleast 12 people were killed and nearly 70 people were injured in police firing on the protesters. Tuticorin turned into a war zone when a peaceful protest which lasted for 100 days met with a sad and tragic end as a result of extreme violence.

With Kollywood Celebrities having expressed their anguish and anger over the incident, Simbu has voiced his concern over the issue as well. He has strongly condemned the killing of innocent lives and also lashes out at the government for staying quiet He also hit out at the national media for ignoring important issues prevailing in Tamil Nadu. He has stated that he has a solution for the issue as well. He warns the people behind not to mess up with the Tamil people and requests all to unite as human beings.
