Director Atlee, who is just three films old, has carved a niche for himself in the Tamil film industry with consecutive hits. The director made his debut with Raja Rani, followed by Vijay’s Theri and Mersal. After the blockbuster success of Mersal, the director is yet to announce his next project.

There were reports that Atlee is planning to make his directorial debut in Telugu next featuring a Top Telugu Hero and the discussions were in progress for the same. While speaking in an award function held yesterday, Atlee had said that his next film will be a direct Tamil film putting an end to rumours of directing a Telugu film. While the director hasn't divulged any further details regarding the project, we expect an official announcement to be made soon.
