Of late, Tamil cinema has been breaking grounds in the selection of its genres and as an addition to the many firsts being tried in the industry, Tik Tik Tik (first space film), Imaikaa Nodigal (first film to be shot in an underground metro), Urumeen director Shakthivel Perumalsamy has announced India's first dog adventure film. Dog Adventure afterall is a rage these days ever since Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs made it to theatres worldwide. Plus the Tamil cine audience were extremely welcoming of Naaigal Jaakradgai, a 2014 Sibiraj starrer, the first of its kind to have a dog as the main protagonist.

Written and directed by Shakthivel, the yet untitled film is jointly produced by Cocktail Productions and United Films and is expected to commence shooting soon. Keep watching this space for more details on the film
