Special 26 Remake - Lingusamy's master plan

It is official that Thirupathi brothers is close to teaming up with Director Neeraj Pandey's home production house to remake recently released Akshay Kumar's "Special 26" in Tamil. 

Will Lingusamy be able to bring Gautham Menon and Kamal Haasan together?

The latest buzz is that Lingusamy is trying to rope in Gautham Menon to direct the movie. It is interesting to note that Lingusamy and Gautham Menon are also closely in race to direct Suriya immediately following the actor's Singam-2. It is also believed that Lingusamy appears to have reached out to Kamal Haasan to reprise the lead role played by Akshay Kumar. If Lingsusamy is able to pull off this casting coup with a hot-shot director, Special 26 could very well become the hottest property in trade.

In Hindi, "Special 26" has been well received by critics and declared a HIT. The store is based on a real life group of con artists who executed several robberies during 1980s by conducting raids on famous businessmen and politicians by pretending to be CBI or Income tax officers.
