Mollywood star Mammootty made a huge announcement recently, confirming a sequel to his 90s super-hit action-comedy Kottayam Kunjachan. Titled Kottayam Kunjachan 2, the film will be directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas who recently directed Aadu 2 and produced by Vijay Babu.
The prequel was set in the Kottayam - Syrian Christian backdrop and had Mammootty playing Kunjachan, who soon became an cult figure for his attitude and mannerisms. Though much is not known about the sequel, an official announcement on the rest of the cast and crew is expected to be made soon.
