Shane Nigam's 25th Film Balti Set for Onam 2025 Release

Shane Nigam is getting ready for his 25th film, titled BALTI, which will release on August 29, 2025, during Onam. The movie is a sports-action drama based on kabaddi.

Produced by Santosh T. Kuruvilla and Binu Alexander George under the STK Frames banner, the film stars Shane Nigam, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, and Preethi Asrani. It is being made in both Malayalam and Tamil, with shooting taking place in Coimbatore, Palakkad, and Pollachi.

The film is directed by Unni Sivalingam, who is also the writer. The technical team includes Shivakumar Panicker (editing), Alex J Pulickal (cinematography), and Vinayak Sasikumar (lyrics). A popular music director will be making his Malayalam debut with this movie.

For a realistic kabaddi experience, Shane and Shanthanu trained for a month with Kerala’s kabaddi coach Ramesh Velayudhan, along with help from national players and gymnastics coaches. Several real athletes will also appear in the film.
