Alphonse Puthren Plays Gangster in Shane Nigam's Film Balti

The team of Shane Nigam’s 25th film, Balti, has released a character video introducing Alphonse Puthren as Soda Babu. Known for directing Premam, Alphonse appears as a violent gangster in the video, which shows him attacking and killing a man during a heated conversation.

Balti is written and directed by Unni Sivalingam and is set in the world of kabaddi. Shane Nigam plays Udhayan, a kabaddi player. The movie is being made in both Malayalam and Tamil, with shooting done in Coimbatore, Palakkad, and Pollachi.

The film also stars Preethi Asrani and Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, along with real kabaddi players. Music is by Sai Abhyankkar, a popular Tamil composer, marking his Malayalam debut. He is doing both the songs and background score.

Balti is produced by Santosh T Kuruvilla and Binu Alexander George, and is planned for an Onam release.
