Ajith starrer Viswasam is all set to begin shooting from March 23, 2018 at the Ramoji Film City at Hyderabad. The team will then movie to Chennai for a second schedule where they have already erected a huge set. The sudden announcement of an indefinite strike in the film industry, that includes a no-shoot rule had put the fate of Viswasam's shooting in jeopardy. At this time, film's composer Imman has stated that he is actively working on two songs as Viswasam intends to begin shooting soon. This may come as a relief to fans of the film, who were dejected at the idea of the Siva directorial being pushed further.

Viswasam has Nayanthara playing female lead with actor Arjun, Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar and Thambi Ramaiah in supporting roles. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, the film has Vetri for cinematography (who is currently aslo shooting for Kanchana 3), Ruben for the edits and Anl Arasu for the stunts.
