During the end of November last year, actor Arya was seen inviting applications of interested brides through a public video and while many were speculating it to be a promotional statregey for a film, turns out the actor is indeed looking out for a life-partner. 

The popular Colors TV group is launching their Tamil channel on February 19, 2018 and among the channel's proposed programmes will be Enga Veetu Mappillai, the reality television show that will serve as the bride-hunting platform for Arya. The show is expected to be on the lines of The Bachelor (US TV Series) and its Indian version Swayamvar, where the contestants perform tasks and woe the hopeful bride/groom in return for their hand in marriage.

During the press event that was conducted for the channel's launch today, Arya who is also the brand ambassador of the channel revealed that as many as sixteen girls have already been shortlisted and if he finds himself a girl with matching wave-length, then people can expect him to get married by the end of it. Enga Veetu Mappillai air from Monday to Friday between 8.30 PM - 9.30 PM, starting February 20, 2018.
