Sanga Thalaivan director gives exclusive details on the Vetrimaaran produced film

As reported by us earlier, Samuthirakani will be seen playing the lead role in director Manimaran's upcoming film Sanga Thalaivan. The film began with an official pooja earlier today and talking to MovieCrow on the same, the Udhayam NH4, Poriyaalan and Pugazh fame director said,

"VJ Ramya plays Samuthirakan's pair in the film. Our first schedule will be at Chennai, post which we will be shooting at Salem. We have roped Bobo Shashi, son of Murali of Sabesh-Murali for the music; Sanga Thalaivan will be his second solo film after Kulir 100 degree."   

Sanga Thalaivan is based on Bharathinathan’s ‘Thariyudan’, a critically acclaimed novel, which deals with the novelist’s own experiences of the issues involving the key industries of Salem, Coimbatore and Erode. Vetrimaran's Grass Root Films will bankroll the film with Velraj will handling the camera and Venkatesh of Visaranai fame taking care of the cuts. The film has Samuthirakani playing an union leader with Karunaas and Aramm fame Sunulakshmi in important roles.
