Pongal Release Confirmed - Alex Pandian, Kanna Laddu..., Samar

Pongal release is finally settled with Vishwaroopam confirming the postponement. List of films slated for Pongal release include:

Alex Pandian 

Alex Pandian starring Karthi, Anushka and Santhanam directed by Suraaj is set to hit the screens on January 11. The film is set to release in more than 850 screens all over the world. The music is by DSP. The film is produced by Studio Green.

Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya 

Santhanam's maiden production venture KLTA is set to hit the screens on January 13 along with Vishal's Samar. Santhanam, Powerstar Sreenivasan, Sethu and Vishaka play the lead roles in this comedy entertainer directed by Manikandan. Music by Thaman. The film is distributed by Udayanidhi's 'Red Giant Movies' and is set to release in 275 screens worldwide.

Samar

Vishal's 'Samar' finally gets to hit the screens for Pongal after Kamal's most awaited agnum opus Vishwaroopam release got pushed out to January 25.  The film release was also delayed due to financial constraints. Samar will be out on January 13 after clearing all the financial troubles.

Puthagam 

'Puthagam' starring Arya's brother Sathya, Rakul Preeth Singh and Sanjay Bharathy is directed by popular TV personality Vijay Adiraj who makes his debut as director. The film is set to hit the screens on January 14. Music by James Vasanthan.

Vijayanagaram

Vijayanagaram starring Sivan and Hasika directed by Thanveer is set to release on January 14.
