GV Prakash starrer Kuppathu Raja nears completion, eyes Christmas release

The shooting of actor G.V. Prakash's upcoming film Kuppathu Raja (titled after the 1987 Rajinikanth starrer) is almost complete with only a song left to be filmed. The film which also has R. Parthiepan playing a pivotal role plans to release in December, 2017 around the Christmas holidays. Choreographer turned director Baba Bhasker has also announced that the first look of the film will be unveiled by actor Dhanush soon. 

The movie is touted to be a commercial entertainer, based on the lives of slum-dwellers. Also starring Poonam Bajwa, Pallak Lalwani, MS Bhaskar and Yogi Babu among others, Kuppathu Raja has GV Prakash for the music, Mahesh Muthusami for cinematography and Praveen KL for the edits.
