Director turned actor Samuthirakani's upcoming film Kolanji has announced its release date to be February 24, 2017. Written and directed by Dhanaram Saravanan, the movie has new face Naina Sarwar for the female lead. Also starring Rajaji and Sangavi, Kolanji's music has been composed by Natarajan Sankaran. With Vijayan Manusamy for cinematography and Athiyappan Siva for the edits, the film has been produced by Moodar Koodam fame White Shadow Productions.
