Dhanush To Begin Shooting For His Hollywood Debut

Actor Dhanush is in the news and for all the right reasons. The multi-faceted actor, from the looks of it, seems to be enduring one of the busiest phases in the history of his career. On one hand, he is shooting films for names like Gautham Menon (Ennai Noki Paayum Thotta) and Vetri Maaran (Vada Chennai). On the other hand, he made his long due directorial announcement by launching his debut movie Power Paandi. And only a day back there was news about his next release Thodari, which will hit theater screens on September 22, 2016.

Amidst all this, the national award winning actor made headlines by revealing details about his Hollywood debut, The Extraordinary Journey of a Fakir Who Got Trapped In An Ikea Cupboard. According to the actor, the shooting for this Marjane Satrapi directorial will begin in January next year. Apparently, the director has watched all of Dhanush's movies and zeroed in on him from ten other suggestions given by the casting team.

The film is based on a best-seller with the same name (wardrobe is replaced with cupboard in the movie title) by French author Romain Puertolas. Dhanush will be seen playing the role of Ajatashatru Oghash Rathod aka Aja around whom the story revolves. He will be seen alongside actresses Uma Thurman and Alexandra Daddario.
