Hardly Scary!

Lisaa actually has a solid premise for the horror/thriller genre but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. (more)

A shoddy film whose inane plot is more chilling than its jump-scares

When I walked into Lisaa, I was mildly surprised when the usher handed me a box containing a pair of 3D glasses. The audacity to release a one-dimensional film in 3D format is perhaps the boldest decision taken by its makers.(more)

With cardboard characters and storytelling that lacks depth, even 3D doesnt save this film.

The scene segues are jarring and the horror elements derivate and hardly scary. To make matters worse, we get a force-fitted message in the end that sticks out like a sore thumb. With cardboard characters and storytelling that lacks depth, even 3D doesnt save this film.(more)

Anjali's horror film is a decent idea wasted

The film is released in 3D and it makes one wonder why. The technology doesn't add much to the film as Lisaa lacks the depth and the detailing for an engaging horror film. A decent premise is wasted by lazy writing and the social message delivered in the climax just looks forced.(more)

Lisaa has all components of a 'horror' filmcreaky doors, blood-curdling screams, jump-scares, gory creaturessans thought, script and a screenplay.(more)

Other than 3D visuals, there is nothing to write about the film, which neither thrills nor engages us, not even a single scene looks impressiv...(more)

Can we reboot horror, please?

Lisaa has a message at the end, well-intentioned like most ones in our cinemas are. Again, as most films do, it takes a all-or-nothing perspective, where everything is only black or white. While the message might be relevant, the tropes that are used to drive it through, are definitely not. Maybe, i...(more)
