The Bravest are the audience

Nothing works in Veera Sivaji. You do get to see films that are an exercise in futility. But most of the times you at least make out what the makers actually tried. But here even trying to figure this out turns out to be a futile exercise. (more)

Not as powerful as the title!

Once again Vikram Prabhu is earnest with his performance but fail to rise above the severely flawed script. Dressed in badly-fitted gaudy costumes and shoddy make up, Shamili has precious little to do, is as stiff as a wax statue with barely any emotion. The rest of the cast Rajendran, John Vijay, Robo Shankar, Yogi Babu and others over-act and try hard to come up with some tasteless, stale jokes.(more)

An interesting plot falls flat with a loose screenplay

he technical finesse is impressive, with Sukumar's visuals being a backbone. Ruben's cuts are stylish as usual, but the screenplay lag couldnt be helped by him either. Though you get a deja-vu feel, D.Imman's background score is powerful and massy. Ganesh Vinayak has got an interesting story, which is not clearly woven into an engaging film. Had the screenplay been more engaging, rather than sticking to the template, it would have worked a lot better.(more)
