Pichaikkaran, right from the start, was a melodrama that had some points to convey. It suits the Mainstream Audience exclusively as it brought the image of honest and humble character and the sentimental touch of maternalism that fluxed to the end. 1 star for working the maternal kinship right. Almost late only but just now watched n fully satisfied film Pichaikkaran at Sathyam Cinemas!! It's an true inspired story n portrayed very well in screen. Especially Vijay Antony perfectly suit's d role n really he s king of the content n stunning performance by him n his best till date n all other roles perfectionist !! First half bit slow bt second half speed screenplay with Sasi n vijay Antony made d film Sure shot Super Hit of the year. Song's n bgm are good !! Bt slightly Naan Fame tone are notching in each music. Verdict: Pichaikkaran really ll b Royal King in Box Office!! Must watch film n it ll be an Super Hit... Rating: 3.5/5.. (more)

Diff concept and is executed well ... Good performance by vj Antony and bgm gave goosebumps here and there ... Overall a great film to watch. (more)

A decent entertainer from Sasi. Director comes up with the concept of Multi Millionaire taking up begger life for 48 days to save his mothers. What happens next is the story. Sasi shows us routine life of beggars their issues within the zone that dont go overboard like a tear jerker, but does make an impact. The next half moves predictably like positive-heroic-climax. There is nothing unique about the film, but sasi managed to deliver a film that is engaging. A lot unknown actors who acted in small roles too makes an impact. (more)

Sasi makes a fair impression with Picha karan. But the screenplay is so-so and not like Naan or Salim. Vijay Anthony has donea good job. There are multiple stories which dilute the impact. Heroine not really needed. (more)
