A common man's love story in Simbu style
Idhu Namma Aalu is a decent romantic entertainer, mixes the right dosage of fun, love and enough mockery on Simbu who gives it a personal touch with a smile. The film ends on a light hearted note and with a notion of could have been a lot better, but still making it an enjoyable watch.(more)

This Simbu Nayanthara rom-com is painful to sit through
dhu Namma Aalu is touted as a rom-com but it is painful to sit through. The story is just very old wine in a hollow new bottle and there's no exciting twist in the story. Most of the second half of the film is just the conversation between Siva and Myla.(more)

Second half was really good but the film failed to expected level. The film had a good story but screenplay was bit of a let down . Works mainly due to the acting of Simbu and Nayanthara. Never expected such a poor film from pandiraj. I have no idea why they speak about IT culture in title and suddenly shift to love life of Simbu. May be lovers can enjoy the film as the movie shows what lovers do when they fall in love. Apart from Soori's comedy the movie has nothing to offer. Wasted... (more)
