Uttama villain with its powerful Screenwriting with good Direction had put a very firm base for a groovy cast to construct an emotional monument. WOW!!! With defects here and there a little though couldn't do damage to this monument of Kamal Hassan. 4 stars - The top-notch Performance of Kamal, Background Score, Writing and partly the Direction. An emotional drama, that take its own time to get into you! Tad slow screenplay may bore some people, but the Uthaman Kamal's intention to give a good cinema & the writing pulled off ! Ghibran scores well. Looks like this time Kamal has predicted something much earlier and that's the reason why UV becomes a fitting tribute for KB. A chapter emotionally portrays the family bond and another registers a statement indirectly that being immortal is a sad state & every story should have an ending. Kudos Master Kamal (more)

Uthama Villain Average film.Period film part was not good.Comedy not good at all.Jamal shines as both Uthaman and Manoranjan.Parvati did well.Andrea and Pooja were average.MS Bhaskar as Chokalingam was excellent.Songs were not good except Single Kisske. The film is leisurely paced great concept amateurish screenplay.Second half was decent but not good enough to save the film. (more)

excellent movie. mc is a biased crap website. if they get more moeny they will give more rating. suththi got high rating..even crap sh1t kanchana haas 57...ok was not OK it was horrible...but it got 70...anegan got 70+...butt this master piece has recd only 67....by doing this u r proving that you are yellow tabloid.... dont cliam you are a honest film critic. shut down ur sh1t website ... anyway, kamal doesnt need sh1t mc endorsement to flourish. good products will thrive even in adverse environments. one of the reviewer has commented that vijju and ajju fanatics will shun this movie - to certain extent true.... but not all. Who said this movie is average? It has done well. And has crossed records in over seas. Its an amazing movie. Very nice script . Only problem was the length. As a lot of time they gave for the 18th century portion which was boring at times. But as a true kamal fan , I loved it. Change the status movie crow. It's not average (more)

Over all one word as K.Balachander say's Ivan en shiyan da evanalaiyum ivana pola nadika mudiyathu!! It's 1000 Times hence proved. Wat an mind blowing performance by Kamalahassan .. Really he is Ulaganayagan of Cinema. Another pearl feather in his hat. Hats off for K.B sir n Ulaganayagan too.. Must Watch Film. (more)

Incredible screenplay, extraordinary performance by every actor including Andrea(don't agree with the other review). very touching and tears at the end will be the greatest reward, credit and everything for this unbelievable actor called kamal. alas, he is born in a country filled with mostly m0r0ns. esp in TN, those who watch craps like vijay & ajoth movies will not like this movie. its unfortunate he is born in TN.
