SRK’s Raees will release as per schedule confirms producer

Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film Raees directed by Rahul Dholakia is slated to release on Eid next year. The makers of the film had firmed up the date in the month of February this year.

Recently Yash Raj Films had announced the release date of Salman Khan's new project "Sultan". The film is also slated for release on Eid 2016. 

If both the films release on the same date, this would be one of the biggest clash at the Box Office. Earlier Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Don' and Salman Khan's 'Jaaneman' had released on Diwali in 2006. Generally, the Khans, whose films are draws, avoid releasing their films on the same date with Salman preferring Eid, Shah Rukh Diwali and Aamir, Christmas.

There have been a lot of speculations that one of the movie might shift its release to avoid a clash at the Box office. Ritesh Sidwani, producer of Raees has confirmed that the movie will be releasing on Eid 2016 as announced.

With Excel Entertainment having cleared the air that the film will release on the announced date, looks like Salman Khan will be locking horns with Shah Rukh Khan at the Box Office next Eid.
