Salman Khan’s much-awaited film Bajrangi Bhaijaan was shot in several cities of India, but a major part of it was shot in Kashmir. Many of the crucial scenes and the climax was shot in Kashmir, during the 45-day schedule of the movie.

The climax of Bajrangi Bhaijaan was shot at the base of the Thajwas glacier outside Sonamarg, where temperature is sub-zero and is located at 10,000 feet above sea level.

Director Kabir Khan said, 'It was very difficult and a big challenge for us to shoot the climax, as the technical crew of 300 had to trek for an hour through snow to reach the location. Added to this were the 7000 extras that we had on sets every day.'

Bajrangi Bhaijaan features Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan & Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles. The film is directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Salman Khan & Rockline Venkatesh. The film is scheduled to release on 16 July 2015 for Eid.
