MovieCrow Box Office Report - April 2 to 5

The summer season has officially begun not only in Chennai, but also for the movie buffs. Komban, Nanbenda and Sagaptham had hit the screens, along with Hollywood film Furious 7 during the long Easter weekend. Check out the box office ranking of Tamil movies in Chennai during last weekend.

1. Komban

Karthi's Komban received fairly positive reviews from the critics for the earnest attempt of the team. Thanks to Karthi's growing fan base, the movie managed to have packed shows.

2. Nanbenda

Udhayanidhi's Nanbenda received scathing reviews, but managed to attract crowd due to initial buzz. The flat and repetitive jokes have not impressed the audience at all.

3. Furious 7

Hollywood's latest sensation, Furious 7, took one of the biggest openings across multiplexes for a Hollywood film. According to trade pundits, the movie is all set to gross Rs 100 crore from India alone.

Other Movies

Shanmuga Pandian's Sagaptham failed to create any impact, while Valiyavan was replaced by latest releases. Movies like Tamiluku En Ondrai Aluthavum, Anegan, I and Rajathandhiram were running across few screens with reduced occupancy levels.
