Lauren Gottlieb to play ISI agent in Welcome to Karachi

After ABCD and ABCD 2 (both being dance films), Lauren is finally all set to get a taste of the real world of Bollywood, away from mentor Remo D’Souza. She has been signed for Vashu Bhagnani’s Welcome to Karachi.

The professional dancer has officially replaced Nargis Fakhri to star in Welcome to Karachi. According to the actress herself, she will portray the role of a ‘badass’ Pakistani ISI agent. After confirming her role, Gottlieb disclosed that the role reminded her of earlier days when her father would roam around their house in New York with a gun. Here’s what she had to say.

“I’m really excited about my bad-ass character, who’s a Pakistani ISI agent.The role reminded me of my New York days when my father would walk around the house carrying a gun. It’s an action film and you’ll see me doing a lot of stunts,” she stated.”

The film, which has already gone on floor with Jackky Bhagnani and Arshad Warsi in the lead,will see Lauren Gottlieb playing the role of an ISI agent. 

Welcome to Karachi is a satirical movie based on supposedly two Pakistanis who get lost in Karachi without their passports. Ultimately, they are kidnapped by the Taliban. Directed by Ashish R Mohan, Welcome To Karachi is about two men who are stranded in Karachi without their passports and are kidnapped by the Taliban.
