Alia Bhatt to play hockey player in Udta Punjab

Alia Bhatt is playing the lead role in Udta Punjab. She will sharing the screen space again with Shahid Kapoor after "Shaandaar". The film also starts Kareena Kapoor and Punjabi superstar Daljeet Dosanjh in the lead roles. Udta Punjab is directed by Abhishek Chaubey.

Buzz is that Alia Bhatt will be seen as a hockey player in the film and also that she has been undergoing training to master the sport.  

‘Udta Punjab’ is set in the state of Punjab, a state that is famous for its Hockey players, “Alia isn’t leaving anything to chance as she plays a professional hockey player in the movie.”
