Happy Ending Opening Weekend Box Office Collection
Happy Ending which hit the screens last friday opened a dull note at the Box Office. The films collections were surprisingly low despite good pre-release hype. The opening weekend box office collection wasn't up to the mark. The film had minted Rs. 13. 3 crores at the Box Office for the opening weekend.
The film had a very low start and the opening day figure only proved that the debut weekend will be low. Here is the first three days breakup of the film:
Friday - 3.8 crore
Saturday - 4.5 crore
Sunday - 5 crore
Total - Rs. 13.3 crore
On Monday the occupancy rate in theatre dipped further as it was a working day. The film had raked in around Rs. 2 crore on Monday (fourth day). The total collection for 4 days sums up to Rs. 15.3 crore.
The three days total of the film is disappointing as Saif's previous film "Humshakals", which had received negative reviews, fared better than "Happy Ending".
The film was expected to earn decent revenue from multiplexes than single screens, but it failed to do so. The occupancy didn't improve in metro cities during the weekend, which affected the collection drastically.
