Abhishek Bachchan does a cameo in The Shaukeens

Abhishek Bachchan is one actor who has never shied away from doing multi-starrer films. His recent release Happy New Year has set the Box Office on fire. Abhishek Bachchan is undoubtedly the surprise package in the film. Abhishek plays the role of a drunken wastrel from the slums of Mumbai. His character Nandu Bhide was received very well by the audience. 

After ‘Happy New Year’, Abhishek Bachchan has made a hilarious cameo in ‘The Shaukeens’. The makers had approached Abhishek for a cameo. The "Dhoom3" actor who was busy with the promotions of Happy New Year had agreed to do the cameo amongst his hectic schedule.  According to director Sharma, when Abhishek gave the shot, the director had a tough time controlling his own laughter. “I have become a huge Abhishek fan after this experience,” says Sharma. 

The film starring Akshay Kumar, Lisa Haydon, Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra is directed by Abhishek Sharma of 'Tere Bin Laden' fame. The Shaukeens is a comedy film and is a remake of the 1982 film "Shaukeen" directed by Basu Chatterjee. The film produced by Ashvini Yardi and Murad Khetani is set to hit the screens on November 7.
